Home > Vestibular
Vestibular (Dizziness/Balance) Vertigo is a common issue that can come on suddenly.
Vertigo is an issue with the inner ear canals and can often be effectively treated with therapy. Symptoms usually include dizziness (usually a feeling that the room is spinning) with change of position or posture. Many times it occurs with rolling over in bed or turning your head to the side.
It is also common to have symptoms when looking up as if to reach for something out of your cupboard. Balance is also a big part of our lives.
Our balance is made up of 2 parts, our vision and proprioception. Many times as we age, we become too reliant on the vision aspect.
At Jones Physical Therapy, you can receive treatment and exercises to perform at home that will help to improve your balance which has been proven to decrease your risk of falls.
